Optometrist
Dr. Huy Tran is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. He received extensive training in the treatment and management of ocular diseases as well as the fitting of both soft and hard contact lenses. Dr. Tran is also fluent in Vietnamese.
Dr. Tran grew up in Arlington, Texas. He graduated from Juan Seguin High School as the Valedictorian of his class. He then attended the University of Texas at Arlington, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, minoring in Chemistry and Business Administration.
Growing up in a family with many relatives having eye problems, Dr. Tran developed a passion for preserving vision at a young age. This passion led him to pursue his Doctorate Degree in Optometry at the University of Houston College of Optometry (UHCO). During his education and training at UHCO, Dr. Tran was awarded a Clinical Letter of Excellence in patient care, invited to join the prestigious Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society, and graduated Summa Cum Laude.
In his free time, Dr. Tran enjoys spending time with his family to make lasting memories, traveling, and playing tennis. During the holiday season of 2022, Dr. Tran welcomes his newborn son, Harrison. He is also an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association as well as the local Tarrant County Optometric Association and Dallas County Optometric Association.
